I so don't want to post anything... but this situation is so insane.... Let me see if I’ve got this straight… the entire Bell Canyon community was sent a piece of marketing inviting them to join a Facebook Page… Bell Canyon Strong.
In this petite marketing missive, the first sentence includes:
· It’s for people who don’t take the canyon for granted
· Who want to feel protected by the fire department
· Who want to live in peace
I certainly don’t take the canyon for granted. I am a giant fan of the fire department even though many of my friends are not and I'm sure a few of them can't stand me. And I certainly want to live in Peace. I guess I’d be perfect for that page. But I’ll never know because that page is the most comically discriminatory thing I’ve ever seen, and they haven’t allowed me to join. They haven’t allowed dozens to hundreds of others who live in Bell Canyon as well.
We have (2) Bell Canyon Facebook Pages with 670 and 764 members respectively, and they both allow anyone in Bell Canyon to join as long as they follow the rules.
The Bell Canyon Strong Facebook Page only has 341 members largely because it blatantly discriminates against people who aren’t a part of their little cabal, and the commonsense notion of not needing (3) facebook pages or (4) when you include the fire department.
So, you are the page for peace? Does your peace include discriminating against all who don’t bow to your leader? Does your peace allow jack hammering for 40 hours per week for years from a property that didn’t have permits for ~ 18 months? How about oinking at residents when they come into a meeting, or having your President asking a resident if she enjoyed jail after he purportedly put her there? Or how about spending the community’s money on a bazillion meals and gas on a credit card the board didn’t know existed? $7.68 board meetings at Jack In The Box? How peaceful is having to sell over 40 acres of land for a fraction of it's value? If you want peace, you wouldn’t have a 3rd Facebook page.
Can you really say you are for peace when your party (Wolfpack) was in dozens of legal and material skirmishes that cost nearly 800 completely innocent neighbors over $10MM? Even your supporters understand how laughable calling the party of conflict… the party of peace… is. I’m going to guess that over the years, there were a number of side deals and shifty things that happened in regard to getting things done in the canyon at people’s homes. And I’m going to guess that a number of you probably enjoyed the trappings of having a management team who would scratch your back if you scratched theirs. But I think you’re pledging allegiance to a flag that’s flown away, as I don’t think the people trying to pull off a recall are going to be able to get away with any shenanigans with the vote count. Mike and the rest of the board are sharp enough to understand how Bell Canyon votes can be manipulated and disinterested empty lot owners’ votes could be manufactured.
I don’t think that is going to happen this time and I think you’re going to lose by an even bigger landslide than before. I talk to a lot of people, and the community is mind-bogglingly over all of this. I’ve had a lot of people message me privately and unless you’ve really found an ingenious way to rig this election… I predict it will be another horrific loss for you. How many lawsuits, how many judges’ decisions, how many votes, etc., do you have to lose in a row before you the party calling themselves the party of peace, while your community believes you’re the party of conflicts… stops this nonsense?
Bell Canyon overwhelmingly voted for the Mike and Kevin managed board we have now. They got rid of the better part of a dozen pieces of litigation at basically no cost to the community. We are all paying substantially more money per month for misdeeds of people of the past and they are trying to claw back some of those monies. Is your pirated deck or 14-foot retaining wall that likely won’t be affected anyway really worth trying to stop us potentially getting a law firms insurance company to pay us millions of dollars? There are people in this community on fixed incomes who simply cannot afford more fees. On the day we found out about it… a woman stopped me on the street and started balling crying.
If you really want peace, just stop all of this nonsense and let the community have what they just voted for…. OVERWHELMINGLY!
And if your messiah did nothing wrong, then he’s got nothing to worry about. If you got an extra-large retaining wall, or did something you shouldn’t have been able to get done because of the last management situation… you probably will be fine. You’re going to lose the recall, and your group will have to take another painful loss which will only make this board likely more aggressive about digging harder into finding the things you might want to remain unfound.
If you want Peace, please vote ‘No’ on the non-sensical recall. And for the 800th time… pretty please with sugar, I’d love to debate anyone in public or private that feels differently that I. I’ll listen with open ears.
The original page, 'Bell Canyon Connection,' was created Jude and has historically been used to present a singular narrative while limiting open dialogue. In the past, residents expressing legitimate concerns were blocked or censored from posting.
While I understand Andy Vorzimer’s request not to be tagged in posts, I believe it’s important to address the serious consequences of his recent actions. Andy attempted to post links directing people to Bell Canyon Strong—a Facebook page connected to individuals who inflicted lasting damage on our community—people who divided us during our most vulnerable moments.Andy claims he has never seen proof of wrongdoing. But he was active on Facebook when Eric and Lisa illegally halted the construction project I was managing for my widowed mother. The emotional, financial, and physical toll I endured for over a year is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. I even posted a video of the Architectural Committee meeting where it was made crystal clear: Eric and Lisa had no reasonable justification for their actions.Let’s not forget the facts:
When I asked Andy for a recorded interview—with myself and Consumer Watchdog—to promote transparency, he declined, citing family hardship. I genuinely empathize. Andy nearly lost his home in the fires, and I understand what it means to carry that kind of trauma forward. I lost my own home as a child—not to fire, but in a way that changed my life forever. That kind of loss shapes who you become. But even amid personal hardship, Andy found time to write letters attacking the HOA board and directing people toward Bell Canyon Strong. What’s happening here is not just political—it’s deeply personal for many of us. Some are using past trauma, including wildfires, to manipulate this community and regain influence, ignoring the staggering $11 million debt we still carry.I was nearly sued for building a guest home for my mother, but I stood my ground. I caught them red-handed. After a full year, I finally got a hearing with the AC—and it validated everything. Not one reasonable restriction was found on my build.Let’s also talk about the Reingold lawsuit. What Eric doesn’t tell people is that he sued them. He halted construction on their home—just as he did with mine. He even stopped my geo-soils truck at the gate. I had to call the police. He threatened the company, saying they’d be blacklisted from Bell Canyon if they came to my property. This pattern of abuse runs deep. Board members were framed for crimes. Homeowners were handcuffed and accused based on baseless, fabricated charges—all to protect former board members. This is corruption, plain and simple.Yet some still ignore these behaviors—just to protect the BCVFD, hoping it will be there in the next fire. But safety doesn’t come from denial. It comes from preparation and integrity. We should be focused on rebuilding our CERT program, which is officially recommended by the Ventura County Fire Department. CERT can offer the same critical services—without the politics, grant misuse, or the growing liability risks tied to current BCVFD leadership. This issue goes far beyond a few individuals. It’s a network operating in the shadows, exploiting fear and goodwill. They even rebranded their Facebook page—from Bell Canyon Connections to Bell Canyon Strong—to capitalize on the emotional weight of wildfires and residents’ love for their homes. We’re launching a comprehensive website soon—full of documentation and evidence, including:
This isn’t about personal attacks or name-calling. It’s about restoring trust and rebuilding community. Let’s move forward—together—with facts, not fear. Vote NO
Stand for CERT
Reclaim our strengthTrue resilience lies in rebuilding—not repeating the past.
Let’s continue rebuilding—with honesty, unity, and a shared commitment to a stronger, safer Bell Canyon for everyone.
